Choosing Software

This page has links to various pieces of software you might want to download at home / use online. Being listed isn't neccesarily an official "recommendation" from me, or from Lakelands Academy - it is just a list of software we use or could use. Some are free to pupils (some are not - they have a £ by them). I have also put links to sites detailing the typical features of some of the types of software.

Office Software

Microsoft Office 365

Lakelands Pupils - click sign in. Your user name is your school one with @taw.org.uk at the end for example Joe.Bloggs1@taw.org.uk, the password is your school password.

EduBlocks - create python programs using blocks (sort of like Scratch, without the sprites)

Notepad++ - source code editor
Repl IT - write python online
OnlineGDB - write python online

Web Site Development Software - features . Note - whilst most of the online builders offer free sites these are usually limited in some way eg a single page site or fewer design templates, or limited features.
