Mind Mapping your Notes
A Mind Map is a great way to make notes. It is visual and lets you see how ideas and concepts link together.

You put the main topic in the middle, sub topics or main points are the first nodes and then sub nodes contain explanantions, details and examples.

Using different colours for different sub topics can be very helpful.

It can be difficult to create a MindMap if a lesson is moving quickly, or if you aren't sure how all the information relates yet. They are excellent for making notes at the end of a topic though, and are a great tool for summarising (step 3 of the revision process).

Sometimes you might find that the amount of information makes a MindMap really busy and hard to follow. An alternative is a Lotus Diagram
