Menus
Your website navigation, how your pages are linked together, how a visitor finds their way aroun your site is critical. Do it badly, make it confusing or inconsistent and people will just leave your site and not come back.

When choosing how to make your navigation you have 4 choices:

  • A menu that is built automatically using the webiste structure you have defined in the Map
  • Text based hyperlinks - these are often used for "inline navigation", links coming out from the text (such as the one on map in the previous bullet point
  • A button object (or several) - let you build your own buttons
  • Image based links, click on a picture and it takes you somewhere - can make individual graphical buttons this way

The video takes you through making and setting up the menu.
